interesting, what kind of difference would micing up 3 speakers in a 4x12 make?

Different mics, different positions, then blended together. You can get a lot of phase canceling going on and the end result can be a really cool tone.

There are 2 SM57's and something that resembles a SM58. Using different mics can bring out different colors in the front of house. Using mulitple 57's you have to remember that they have a narrow amount of sound to pick up. You may use one and place it right by the cone, and the other place it twards the middle of the basket. That way the FOH guy can have different sounds from one cabinet and doesn't have to find 'the sweet spot' like you do when recording.

Its just amazing how morello get so many wierd noises with so few effects and stuff. A true genius.

These days he has replaced quot;Arm the Homelessquot; with the quot;Soul Powerquot; superstrat. He also uses some Les Pauls.

Looks to me like the pics from Guitar Player Magazine. I'm sure somethings must have changed in his rig since then.

I've always wondered why anyone would idolize Che, all things considered. I realize he was a young go-getter who was passionate about his cause, but it seems like the big issue is always overlooked (or not even considered at all due to ignorance).

Audioslave is not RATM. They have their own sound. It still sounds like RATM because it's stil Morello, Commerford and Wilk playing but with totally a different tone and quot;vibequot; than RATM. So, i wouldn't call Audiosalve quot;not as goodquot;. They are a great band in my opinion. People have mixed emotions and opinions about Audioslave because they miss RATM and expects the same sound and quot;attitudequot; that people are so used to listening to RATM. Cornell is one of the GREATEST Rock vocalist this world had ever heard. Period. Tom doesn't have the Flag anymore because it's not RATM anymore. And having all this quot;Politicalquot; stuff with Audioslave will be totally erelevant to the concept of the new band.

Yes i agree, Tom is a true genius indeed.

I'm a fan of Tom, not his political beliefs or views. The music ROCKS.

More power to him for continueing to do something different after RAGE. The Audioslave stuff is good, but RAGE had an impact on me that cannot be replaced.
