Just won a nickel covered JB i bid for and got it for a decent price too...wasnt actually expecting to win it to be honest!

Its good because i wanted to keep the nickel covers on my les paul so i could throw it in there to try it out, but i was also thinking about putting it in the bridge of my warmoth strat. The strat currently has a dimarzio virtual vintage solo in the bridge and two virtual vintage blues' in the neck and middle...how do you think it would go with the vv blues neck and middle...or do you think i could put the solo in the neck, keep a blues in the middle, and put the JB in the bridge?

I wouldnt mind something with a bit more chunk in the bridge of that guitar, and also i wanted to put a set of fralins in my les paul eventually....anyway, what do you guys think i should do with it?

This may sound weird, but you may wanna try the JB in the neck position. A friend of mine put one in the neck of his Warmoth guitar, and it sounds really good!!

That does sound interesting, but its a SSS strat at the moment and i would definitely want to keep the neck and middle as single coils. But its something i could try one day...what kind of sound did your friend say he got from it?

Well, I played the guitar through one of the rigs in my own house. It was great for shredding! Better than my neck position Breed, that's for sure. Actually, very open sounding, too.

My friend has an RG with a JB in the neck position and Tonezone on the bridge position. Sounds awesome.

It'll sound good, but very midheavy in your LP. It'll sound best in your Warmoth strat, but make sure you specifically get a pickguard that can fit the nickel cover.....the hole is usually a bit too tight for one on a regular Fender HSS guard.

Okay cheers i didnt think about the nickel cover being a problem...what do you think about the idea of moving the vv solo to the neck (even though its probably a bridge model) and keeping one vv blues in the middle?
