one of my fds said that fender can't play rock music well , it just for jazz/blues, i was shocked coz i saw Yngwie Malmsteen used fender and he played well......
he said Ibanez's guitar is better than fender to play rock music..is it right?
Ummmm....is this for real?
Fender is great for rock. Most of Ibanezes offerings are just souped up stratocasters. Fender's are also pretty unusual as a jazz guitar (aside from Stern and a couple of others). Fender guitars are often used for funk, rock, blues, country, pop, etc...
Oh yeah, right.
Better send a telegram to Hendrix, Clapton, Pete Townsend, Steve Winwood, Robbie Robertson, Robin Trower, Stephen Stills, Lowell George, Walter Becker, Ry Cooder, Mark Knopfler, Eric Johnson, Jeff Beck, etc., etc. 'cause they are all so wrong.
welcome eric
your fds is misinformed ... you are right to be skeptical of that opinion .. a gazillion guys use fenders (and fender-esque copies) for just about every style
cheers

Iron Maiden and the Scorpions play heavy metal with Fender Strats.
