It seems to me like rosewood is porous enough that I can get away with sanding my fretboard with 220 grit paper and just leaving it like that. I did a websearch and didn't find any advice relating directly to rosewood. What's the convention?
Also, what kind of stores have sanding blocks with a radius? I haven't had any luck finding a supplier locally.

You might have to go with a specialty guitar-tool supplier (i.e. Stew-Mac)
