Just thought I would post this...
I found these on AMS the other day..Epi Eltist Paulas...for $799, which is supa cheap...only 100 bucks more than a regular Epi Custom and built with much better wood/better QC..usually 1100- 1200 w/ a case (these don't have a case, but)

That's a good deal, aren't they usually around 11 or 1200 bucks? I've heard nothing but good things about the Epi Elitists.
That is a good deal on a really nice guitar. More in the price range that it should have been in the first place.
Has anyone purchased from American Music Supply? Their ratings were spotty on Bizrate and Shopping.com.
I have...no issues...CS even contacted me cos I was a new customer and ordered stuff overnight through the web, just to make sure somebody wasn't screwing around w/ my CC
Lady was really nice...i thot I read on the site they got great CS reviews?

Do the Elitist Standards have the 60's thin neck or the fatter quot;basball batquot; one?
Ordered several things from AMS and have never had a problem.
i just can't get past that ugly headstock.
as for AMS i have dealt with them many times and always ended up happy... and you can't beat their EZ payment plan
I've had good dealing with AMS. It's Epiphone i'm peveed at. I don't trust them and there dubious use of woods??. Myself,If i had $800 to throw down on a LP? I'd be more inclined to get a used Gibson studio model.
On the Elitist models (made in Japan), you are always going to get mahogany with a solid maple cap. The MIC and MIK Epi's are the ones that would be either alder or mahogany. I'd love one of these myself but if I had $800, I'd be ordering everything for my FB project.
