Just wondering how long pickups last generally. I mean magnents eventually loose charge, but after years. I'm just trying to make sure when I pickup my guitar in 10 years its going to sound beautiful.... after the string change.

I wouldn't see why not...it is pretty rare for a pickup to simply stop working, unless somebody messed with it...

I have a 1937 Rickenbacker bakelite Lap Steel just just David Lindley's....the pickup kicks butt! Pickups should last a lifetime. Lew

I'm not saying not working, but do you think they can loose some output? Or just some of feel?

My ES175's P-90 is still kickin ass, and it's like 50 years old.

I'm sure they do, but it's such a gradual process that you wouldn't hear it, and it would take so long that even if you didn't play it for X number of years, you wouldn't remember what it sounded like to begin with.
