hmmmm....now what color to dye the top??? I am thinking vintage amber??? What to rout it for????? HH, HS, HSS, ?????? Floyd Rose, Hardtail, TOM, ?????

BTW, I assume you´ve noticed what appears to be a small crack or chip in the top (lower cutaway, near the neck joint)?

I got that all worked out!!! It wont be noticeable for long! You know how wood gets sometimes, those things happen from time to time!

More often than we´d prefer, that´s for sure

I'm down with the Amber. I love the way it looks on a nicely figured piece of Maple.

For my playing style, I'd go with a hardtail.
If the body is Mahogany, you might like the HH. But it depends on how and what you play.

I have always wondered it I dyed the maple fretboard the same color as the top if it would look cool or look gay? It would be different.

The body is a one peice blank of lightweight hondouran mahogany!!! I had the pick of the litter from the guy I get wood from!!!!

One piece body, I'd definitely go with the hardtail then. But I have a thing for Hardtail Strats, so take it with a grain of salt.

If you dye the fingerboard to match the body, it'll look gay.
But if you dye the body to match the fingerboard, it'll be cool!

Or was it the other way around?

I vote amber. hardtail with a non-recessed OFR. Humbucker bridge, p90 neck.
