This is a 35 second clip comparing the VHII pickup vs. the Miracle Man. The drum loop was written with a BOSS DR-3 drum machine. The mic used was the Ball mic from BLUE. Amp used was a Marshall JCM800 with a Rivera 4x12 cab. Overdrive pedal was Homebrew Electronics Big D. I used the soft clipping setting for the rhythm guitars and hard clipping for the lead guitars.
The solo is a trade off in 8 parts. The sequence is:
0.00 - 0.05 VHII
0.05 - 0.09 Miracle Man
0.09 - 0.13 VHII
0.13 - 0.17 Miracle Man
0.17 - 0.20 VHII
0.20 - 0.24 Miracle Man
0.24 - 0.28 VHII
0.28 - END Miracle Man
This proved to be very educational for me, and I'm glad I got to do this right away. I will reserve my observations, since you can hear for yourself and draw your own conclusions.

Whaa... lol. It seems I heard more highs and compression in the miracle man, because of its higher output im guessing, the VHII seemed warmer. Pretty cool you can hear those differences. What happened to those Irish Tour clips you said you were gonna cook up?
I'm terrible at putting tone into words, so I'll just say I liked the Miracle Man better

I did; on my 'Epic Metal' clip there is some Irish Tour playing.
Hey man, i posted a reply at the BK forum .
to tell you the truth that clip just doesn't agree with my ears. I can hear the differences, but the tone doesn't speak to me at all. For what it counts they sound great in their own respects.
howd u get that weird sound at the end? like a harmonic over the note? that was so cool

You finger the note and then tap the string with the pick edge over the pickups, going towards the bridge pup ....
oh thats cool. it makes sense too.. lol. i should have figured that out.
To me it sounded like MM was more compressed, smoother and more cutting. VHII sounded more raw and more open. VHII seemed to have more mids, is it so?
Thanks a lot for this one, but is it possible to even have a rhythm comparison clip too?
