It had a Jackson Kelly XLR neck on it, but I know its not a Kelly XLR but its similar????

Can opener?????

You must have a mullett to play that!!!!!

That is either a Kelly that someone cut a piece out of, or a model that Jackson offered for a while called a Kelly Star. I forget which years they made those and whether or not they still do.

That was a limited edition Rhoads/Kelly, a legit Jackson design. Don't know the exact name, but they're fairly rare and cool.

We have a winner! Thanks man, and everyone else that chimed in. Now I have to find someone who wants to buy it........DSS?

Not quite in the market for one, and don't have any cash, why don't you keep it?

Pick up a neck off eBay, and do the faux binding and ebony trick!

You mean like this neck? This is what was on it when I got it...its off a Kelly XLR.....it wasnt the stock neck and really only bought it to sell the neck, but Ill list the body soon. Its not my thing.

Ah yeah, like that. I'd do the fake ebony trick though, if I kept it.

Just don't dig the shape? Too metal?

I'm darn sure Zerb's got the answer to this one.

That's a Kelly Star body, made anywhere between 1999-2001. I thought they were kinda cool when I saw them in Musician's Friend catalogs. Unfortunately I never had the fundage to pick one up.

It looks like a Warrior!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has Warrior aspects; if it had that extra fin coming out of the left side of the neck (with the body facing up) it could pass as one.

If that tremolo cavity and bridge pickup cavity were set farther apart from the neck pickup, I'd be all over that thing like a moose on a Border Patrol guard during mating season.

It's definatley a cross between a rhodes and Warrior....Deadskinslayer and Nate are both right on that. You could almost sit down and practice with that. I didn't like the Rhodes for practice...unless I had a Stand to read music it would have not been bad but I didn't.

I would actually buy that get it repainted to black. Come to think of it.....Ibanez had a body designed exactly like that years before Jackson did it.

Jackson KellyStar. Essentially tghe front end of a Kelly and the back end of a Rhoads (no warrior in there that I can see )

Nothing quot;limitedquot; about it , though..... It´s either late 90s (99-2k1 IIRC), Made in Japan, or mid 90s (one year) Crafted in India. More likely the former, I´m pretty sure the Indian one didn´t have a Floyd

They ARE rare, though....and It may actually be the original neck if the inlays arent MOP but MOTO (they´re otherwise practically identical)

Thanks you guys. I am going to sell it, it has a *****ed up point, though. If anyone is interested drop me a pm and Ill get some pics up. Ill get it on ebay if not. Peace
