I wana put a little more lowend into it.
It seems to be focused around mid-high and I'd like to balance it out a little.
What speaker is in it?
Speakers can make a pretty big difference.
If it can be done Seal the back of the cab with a sheet of plywood.. it's a good start to adding bass to an open back cab.... I have the Classic 50 head version that i run thru a 5150 4x12 and there is not that much bass to it that way either... It has just enough bass but i sometimes wish for more.... I find the Classic series works well with Basy Humbucker equiped guitars like Gibsons... I have never really liked my Peavey Classic 50 or my Classic 30 combo with single coil Fender type guitars.....

Its got the stock peavey blue marvel speakers, and by the way its made, sealing it isnt really possible, unless I really wana chase down every little hole, and by how its made that'd take weeks...
You don't really have to seal it. Just put its back against the wall and you can hear the difference.
You can also do some very simple tone stack mods to change your bass response. Visit for some more help, I have done a few mods on that site. Feel free to PM me with any questions(I currently gig with a modded Peavey Classic 50 212) my suggestion is to first get some better tubes( try JJ's el84s, they should give you a darker tone) and new speakers, if you are still unhappy, Id mod it. When modded, its a killer little amp. I have had traynor bassmasters, riveras, old fenders, and many others, and this little guy gives me the best tone out of all of them.

It's the nature of the beast! EL-84 amps will not have the same low end as a 6L6 amp. EL-34's are somewhere in between. JJ EL-84's will fatten up your tone but it still won't sound like a Fender!
I second the mods at blueguitar.org. THose mods can have a profound effect on your amp. Putting in a decent speaker will go a long way too.

Meh, I put my JH-1 infront of it to use it like an EQ boost with a little coloring. It sounds killer now. I'll probably retube it sometime, its either going to be putting a 59 in the neck of my tele or retubing the amp, or possibly new speakers.
Screwing with anything serious concerns me.
get a couple g12t-75's
assuming you have the 2x12 one
or maybe just tune a half step down, heh
I might get the speakers instead of doing the pickup ordeal because I really dont mess with the neck anyway.
I'll get these
