looking for a guitar with a floyd rose tremelo for not a lot of money. preferable new. the reason i posted this here is because i have no idea where to start......

preferable, i want something with some shape and style, not like a lp or strat style.....can anyone help?

how about an imported B.C Rich? They have floyds on the Platinum pro and NJ Series and are pretty much nothing Like Strat or LP.But here's the question what you consider a lot of money. But if the pups don't matter they are pretty cool if you aks me.

best bang for your buck? find an old hamer chapperell or something like that. i got mine for like $300 or somehting silly like that, usa made, real floyd not licenced (sp?) mine had a duncan and two bill lawrence. great guitar

I personally like ESP's. They have a few different styles out there now with Floyds... Another good choice would be BC Rich. I think they even offer the new FR Speedloader system on several different guitars... Very cool...

Set a budget first lolI really think (if your budget is low) you should look S/H. You'd be more likely to afford a guitar with a much better trem system that way... The cheaper floyds are nowhere near as good as the real thing

TRU DAT!! I've never found liscenced Floyds other than the Schaller units to be satisfactory. For me, if it doesn't have an OFR, a Schaller, or an Ibanez Edge I don't bother with it.

Just to be curious what IS your budget. Your definition of quot;not a lot of moneyquot; may be way different than someone else's.

Foreign build Richs would be my suggestion.

You can get an American made Peavey Wolfgang special on Ebay for less than $500. If that's too expensive, you might want to find a cheap Strat with a Floyd.

well i know you want new but i have been contemplating selling one of my floyd/EMG equipped ibanez's it's an s370 loaded with EMG 81/S/85...it also has a custom finish it's not flat purple like the normal ones it's high gloss metallic dark purple...i have a pic if you'd like to see it and i can tell you more about it...send me a PM if you have any intrest in it.

A cheaper floyd ax, I would say a Charvel traditional or a pro. They are made in Japan and very good guitars. You may be able to get one used for $300-$350. They came factory with Duncans also.

what about a dean?

my NJ BC Rich ain't bad, even tho the floyd-licensed bridge is RUSTING. haha bought used...
