Okay, another dumb question. In my guitar, I have a three position switch that looks nothing like the one in the diagram (from this site. That one has four contacts and looks to be round, this one has three and is square. I cant upload the picture because the school safety net won't let me, but if anyone knows what im talkin about, tell me what points I should solder the wires to.
What kind of switch is it? Do you know what company/part no. it is?
Is it a mini-switch? Go to guitarelectronics.com, look at the switches section, and post what kind yours is like.
You're talking about a toggle, correct? Sounds like maybe it's an allparts switch? Tell us what kind of guitar this is, how many pots, etc, and we can tell you how to wire it.
well, if you havent unsoldered the current wires, cant you just look where they go to and come from, and just determine it that way?
The guitar is a schecter A-1, but i got it used, however I think that it's the original toggle. it has one tone and one volume pot. I already looked at guitarelectronics.com and im drawin' a blank.
