Its a early 90's MIJ squier wif a S-S-S config, and Im posting this thread as I have no idea wad body wood are they made of (im guessing basswood? )
Which true single coil pup/stacks from the SD line would be a good choice?
I play a little of everything from SRV to Nightwish
either basswood or alder. either way, the tonal signature don't differ that much. for heavier stuff, the hot/custom/custom is a good option. if not, give the custom/vintage/vintage a shot.
personally, i would go for the ants or ants ii. but that is just me.
My personal favorite setup in a S-S-S is APS-II (neck) for a warm sweet tone.SSL-I (mid) for a vintage chime tone. Now the bridge position is always the wild card in a S-S-S ? I like the Twangbanger, for it's verseatlitty. For a classic rock tone the Lil' 59er. A step more aggresive would be the Lil' JB. After that it comes down to personal taste. Duncan offers many other PuPs that will fit in that space. Check out the sound clips on the main website.
