has any one tried em before? they sound good in the demos. tube distortion
well they are OK, but too expensive for me...
yeah... they are expensive.
I just played a cooltron tremelo, and I didn't really like it. The depth knob didn't have wide enough range, but it was cool to have 2 different settings at the thump of a switch, and it made the guitar sound sweet as tits when the effect was in. But Why would I buy a tremelo to not use the tremelo?
ive only heard good things about the big ben. nice ac30 tone. but the amp and the guitar still have a bigger impact on the tone.
i own the bulldog distortion and it's the best stompbox i had in years (or ever). it has a very natural and wide sound on both channels, and the gain is tweakable from mild overdrive to scorching high gain (as advertised on all dist pedals, but on the bulldog this really is the case). it blew away the 3x more expensive Damage Control Demonizer. it's only downside would be that it has a very aggressive treble (it's not thin in any case, just rich in harmonics) so it probably won't go well with some amps (think of Fenders, some Marshalls). this demo shows pretty well how it sounds:

I had an Over the Top Boost and kick myself for ever getting rid of it!
i had a brit boost that i liked. but then i got bored of it and traded it for a jimi hendrix sig wah. good pedal, a bit big, and a little hard to dial in. don't get me wrong it's easy to use, but i just did not get the sound i was after
