anyone ever tried this? it works great! a definate improvement on sound. i also switched the neck and mid wires on the switch and now have:
5 - bridge
4 - bridge/neck
3 - neck
2 - neck/mid
1 - mid.
a 59 neck with the pins raised, paired with a hotrails in the bridge is amazing! Its quot;likequot; i have a new guitar!
here is my guitar all put back together with my current setup.

I did star grounding for a few years, but I found it to be just as good /bad as standard grounding, assuming both are done properly.... you shouldn´t really have any notable ground loops in a guitar anyway unless you´re using pretty interesting wiring.

For me the net benefit was 0, but YMMV

interesting article but isnt it missnamed? He did cut ground loops but star grounding is when u bring all ground paths together in central point hence the star look-

but guess it doensnt matter as long as it makes it sound better! did u add shielding?

thx for the pointer!

look at the schematic... it all comes together on the lug that goes on one of the switch screws. ... just try it, it helps. no shielding was added, ive got hum canceling pups, so i dont think it would help that much.

must be getting old..now i see it- thx!

I love shielding and I've been doing star grounding for a while without knowing it, it makes sense to me that all components on a guitar should share the same direct path to ground.
