quot;Epiphone has announced the new Jay Jay French Twisted Pinkburst Signature Guitar that instantly distinguishes it as a TWISTED SISTER-inspired model. Based on a Les Paul Standard from Epiphone's prestigious Elitist series, the TWISTED SISTER-inspired model sports the glam rock band's Bone logo on the headstock and guitarist Jay Jay French's name on the truss rod cover.

TWISTED SISTER came into the rock-n-roll world in the early 1970s as a New York-based glam band with theatrics rivaling KISS and a shock factor like none other. Their songs quot;I Wanna Rockquot; and quot; We're Not Gonna Take It Anymorequot; were hugely successful and the band's extensive touring kept them at the top of the charts. Lead guitarist Jay Jay French's passion for Epiphone guitars goes beyond the stage and is now captured in the Epiphone quot;Twisted Pinkburstquot; Jay Jay French Signature Model.

quot;I've played Les Pauls professionally for 32 years with TWISTED SISTER,quot; said Jay Jay French. quot;I am honored that Epiphone has chosen me and my guitar. The pink burst has been a signature of mine for years. I think that the features on the guitar like the cut outs in the back and the pick-ups that are dead center are design features that all guitarists will love.quot;

The Jay Jay French Epiphone Signature model is one of the Elitist series designed for the professional musician seeking the ultimate in performance. As with all Epiphone Elitist models it features premium electronics including pickups made by Gibson USA, Grover machine heads, nickel-plated hardware and a bone nut. Other features include an African Mahogany body with a Hard Maple cap, a one-piece Mahogany neck and a Rosewood fingerboard with a 24-3/4quot; scale length. For added playing comfort, the back of the body has a quot;belly-scarfquot; or cutout. The MSRP is $1,768 and includes a premium, hardshell case.

TWISTED SISTER recently released quot;Live at Wacken Theaterquot;, a DVDPlus containing 105 minutes of live footage from the famous show plus 75 minutes of rare live tracks.

For more information on the Epiphone Jay Jay French Signature model, go to what do you think about it? I actually think the color suits the guitar very nicely.

I remember reading that about 6 months, but maybe they'll start selling it now. I think they had an interview too.

Oh yeah thats fugly. I wonder why they are even bringing this out? I mean Twisted Sister isnt a popular band right now. Who are they hoping to sell it to??

Yeah, this seems like a niche that doesn't really need filling...maybe a CC Deville sig guitar is on its way soon

Man, that guitar is a real step down from Eddie Ojeda's Wayne!!!
The only thing worse than a pink Gibson is a pink Epiphone. The only guitarist worse than JJ French, is possibly Eddie Ojeda.

Next time you listen to Twisted Sister, notice the stellar chops and tone!

The guitar tone on Under The Blade isn't bad at all; it's better than the tone on old Motley Crue!!

Also i dont get the belly cutout, i mean does Mr Jay Jay French need to exercise more?

Seriously it seems kinda moronic to cut into one of the major parts of the Les Paul tone i.e the big slab'o mahogany.

Def not on my short list for future purchases......

If I can find one on Ebay in the next year or two for cheap, its all mine!!!! I admit its fugly as hell but, its also unique! I cant see why it would hold its value what so ever! Maybe I could score one for like $200???

I got the chance to see Twisted Sister live this past summer.. Shh, I never said that

I think it looks *****in'

Sweet pink LP, wish I had thought of that.

And I mean, wouldn't ANY Epiphone be a few steps back from a Wayne?

First off before I have to go and kick everyone's ass stop dissin' Twisted!!! :fing25: You're not insulting TS and you just show everyone you don't ROCK!

Jay Jay manages Sevendust who are Epi endorsees so I am sure that lead to the deal. If anyone knows Jay Jay and TS they know he has had a pink burst forever. It was camp and cheesy, it was supposed to be! TS is the greatest bar band to ever walk the face of this or any other planet so if you get to see them on this (their last tour btw) do it. They still rock like the SMF's they are. Jay Jay looks killer and Dee is freaking amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember when Dee used to be on my local rock radio station 104.1. One of my sweetest memories was Dee singing on stage with the band Fuel doing a cover of AC/DC's quot;Highway to Hellquot;. That guy can rock, no way around it

i can't believe there would actually be a market for this. i wouldn't have thought there would have been a market even if it was still 1984. but in 2005?.....

With the crappy recorded tones TS had, you'd never know if it was Les Paul or a Samick Tele copy
