I picked one up tonight, complete with lessons! Anybody else tried it? Seemed like it'd be pretty hard to go wrong for $5.
I need to find somewhere to get one, I need to work on my right hand game, after listening to some Vader, Deicide, Behemoth, and Cryptopsy for the last week.
How's it work so far?
I goofed with it for about 5 minutes, and I can already tell it's gonna be quite helpful. I'm glad it comes with a bunch of lessons, and explains all the theory behind it quite explicitly.
If you can't find one locally, let me know, and I can pick one up for you.
Cool, I'll have to look into it, I could use a good kick in the ass for my right hand. If I can't find one online for some reason I'll get in touch with you JB.
The technology really does work, but I'm too set in my ways to change now!
LOL ... new tricks vs. the old dog!!
What's a stylus pick? Tell us about it!

Man, I've been running through some of the excersizes, and as stupid and cliched as this is, it's probably the best $5 I've spent on guitar accessories. It's super easy to use, and cuts down your right-hand travel immensely.
Jesus, I sound like I'm selling these things
Im about is good as Dino Cazeres when it comes to right hand. I have been blessed I guess....I can't string good scales together.....I can shred but it's just wanking to me. Though im my worst critic, probably why I never amount to anything.
I have done give up any professional career out of guitar...though it's a blast to be a bedroom wanker for awhile.....until I find that right dudes to jam with....im just a WANKER

When I first started playing I used to buy the Heaviest guage pick....and just so happened to find the pointiest heavey guage picks at the time. That probably attributed to a faster down up picking attack ala Fear Factory style.
Anybody have seen these Picks? I mean they are REALLY pointy.
Come to think of it........Anybody here have a faster down picking method than down up?
I knew this Filipino dude that had this downpicking attack so fast his hand was a blur it was INSANE....
Lately I have been practicing just down picking it's hard to pick fast when you are used to down up picking.
Im getting good at it though. My right hand is slightly better than my left.
Im gonna post a vid soon.....Though everytime I vid myself the sound quality is horrible and im my own worst nightmare.!
I should pick one up, but ive grown awful fond of the sound i get out of my steel wirething.
It looks like just a stubby pick tip on a regular flat pick.... Dunlop stubby!
Isnt that all it is?

No, it looks kinda like a Dunlop Jazz III with a little pointy cone on the end.
The fastest rhythm playing I've ever heard is on Immortal's Pure Holocaust and Battles in the North. GUITARS THAT SOUND LIKE A BLIZZARD
Funny you mentioned this--I bought one of these and lost it a few years
ago, and just found it 2 days ago! Also, i think the intention behind using
it is to train your picking hand for single-string technique, not so much for
chording. Once you practice a lot and develop the technique (of keeping
your pick's tip the optimum distance from the strings and not digging too
deep), you can swtich to a regular pick.
