I've heard that a Quarter Pounder comes reasonably close to the P-90 sound.

The Lindy Fralin Steel Pole pickups have a definite P-90 vibe to them. I tried a strat with one of them in the bridge position and it was really sweet!
thanks guys!!!
You may also want to look at Stephen Kersting's S90 and S45 pickups...

That's the one to get: the Fralin Steel Pole 43. I use one as the bridge pickup in one of my favorite Strats. Kind of 1/2 way between a Strat pickup and a P-90 in tone. Great pickup!
There's also the Steel Pole 42. It's a little more Strat like but still has alot of P-90 to its tone.
I like the Steel Pole 43 best. It has two ceramic magnets under the coil (like a P-90) and has adjustable polepieces (also like a P-90).Lew
