anyboyd know where i can get some colorshifting paint?

Duplicolor makes a paint line called Mirage. I Think this is what your talking
about? In different light and angle's it appers to be another color. You should
be able to find it a any good Automotive store.

ya i want it to change colors at different angle and stuff.

Bro, can you get away with painting an axe with Duplicolor? If so, how would you prep the surface? Could you use the standard sanding sealer and grain filler for coarse grained woods??

I don't see how it would be any different than the regular Duplicolor automotive stuff, which works fine for me. I use their filler primer instead of sanding sealer.

I would test it out on a piece of scrap wood to be certain though.

You can use anything from Schwinn Bike paint to krylon.
I don't like useing Enamel for guitar's. You may be able to clearcoat with
acrylic? and get semi-decent results ? But you Can't spray Nitro over enamel !
(It will melt the enamel) Your prep work is always vital. Once you've grain filled and sand sealed and primer for opaque's. You can pretty much use
anything. For Instants... Nail Polish. Huh? WTF You might say? Some nail polish's are Acrylic Lacquer. (read the jar!) I did a Epi LP for a guy and he
wanted it Pearl white . So I painted it white and and sprayed pearl nail
polish (thined out) on it with my airbrush. I wasn't crazy about how it looked.
But he loved it. GOOD NEWS !! I was over at the Reranch site tonight.
Bill and Robin are cook'in up a bunch of new custom colors. So no need to
be going crazy with nail polish for trick finishes. They have some
cool metalic and pearl paint's IN NITRO ! They will be offering soon.
