Any ideas?
I want an SG, I personally have been pretty happy with the Faded Specials I have played but these look interesting.Any feedback at all would be great!
Thanks!
pm big_black, he's got a edwards SG he was talking about selling.
That's why he's asking!
oh! lol
Edwards are damn nice guitars.
And I bought a guitar from big_black before, he did a great job.
Honestly, there very little info out there on these guitars. I looked for a long time. The LPs seem to be alot more prevalent here in the States and Europe than the SGs. I had a Faded for two days. The second day I nearly sliced my finger open on a fret end (slight exaggeration), so I returned it and bought an MIA Tele. Three years later, I'm back to the SG! Honestly, the fretwork on the Edwards are better than on most Gibsons, seriously.
I've played one Edwards, it was a 335, but I would easily put it up next to any Gibson 335 amd Im sure it would do quite well! Plus tey come stock with Duncans!
When I take the dive off the deep end and finally give in and buy a LP Custom...it's actually gonna be an Edwards

I actually own an Edwards LP (see sig). Definitely a KEEPER. But mine weights 11 pounds. That would be the ONLY reason why I'd change it for ANOTHER Edwards
Japanese woodworkers know their stuff. Really. Every Edwards LP Ive seen so far had 1-piece mahogany bodies and neck, cut at the RIGHT angle (not randomly like Gibson), which is an under-rated feature IMO. Edwards have ALL the features of a Custom Shop instrument (apart from poly lacquer, but applied rather thinly).

The other Edwards do a have poly finish, but this series does not. It looks very similar to the Faded finish, applied a little more thickly, and buffed to a shine. You can actually buff a Gibson Faded as well, they certainly do shine up well.
