Hi guys,
I just bought this on a complete impulse buy recently. This is a 1971 100w Marshall Super Lead with was owned by Alan Holdsworth for years until he sold to California Vintage Guitars. The circuit is all original, except a there is a master volume that was installed on the back panel. There is also fan installed on the side but it has been disconnected. Other than that, the switches on the front panel were replaced to ones the feel much sturdier and given a yellow indicator light. It even have setting marked controls on front! Ive only dared play it once for feel of falling in love with it and not being able to bring myself it! It sounds incredible! I might have to sell it on Ebay but id rather do it here if anyone is interested.
Make me any offers, i may be open to trade for another amp or guitar. Ill let it go for 1750$
Oh, i have the COA from California Vintage Guitars that i will send with the amp just to let you know. Im having some trouble posting the pictures so if you want to see it, i can email them...
i'm just a bit confused...you said you can't afford to keep it, yet you'll take a trade for another amp or guitar? how does that work? by saying you can't afford to keep it you imply you need money for something yet you will take a trade which would lead to no money just more gear.
if you don't like the amp it's all good. it may quot;fitquot; someone else better, no need to BS fellow forum members, save that for ebay LOL.
i'm not saying it's not a legit sale just a bit odd.

Who is Alan Holdsworth? and when did he use the amp? like which albums did he use it on?

Hey dude, calm down. Actually I can only afford to have one amp right now (other than a little practice amp) and so need an amp to cover ALL my sounds. As great as I think old Marshalls sound, it really could only give me THAT sound and i need more versatility than this one amp can provide. So if someone traded me for the right amp i would be happy. I am not looking for any guitars really, but would have considered trades only if the guitar was worth considerably more than the amp, in which case i would have sold it and used that money to buy whatever amp i would wind up with. Maybe i should have been more clear, but i really dont feel like i deserve your accusation. Maybe you shouldnt jump to conclusions so quickly man, im not BSing anyone...

Maybe you should hook up with this guy.... from : localhost/cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:ITamp;rd=1
Dude, this circuit itself hasnt been modded with the exception of the master volume as i stated which is out of circuit when its full up by the way. Im sorry, but i think you were missing my point. Wow, thats two. And i do have a COA as i said, but you maybe dont know what that means? Maybe someone jipped you or something at some point but thats no reason to automatically think everyone else is doing the same. I really dont need your comments.
God you're a **** dude, I hope no one deals with this **** when buying from you...

He is a Fusion guitarist, never really a quot;rock starquot; but is highly respected and well known by guitarists. He has one of the most fluid playing styles you will ever hear. Im really no expert on the guy though, ask around the forum, i know there are some people who really love him. I have no idea about what albums he used it on or any of that, i wish i did. All i know is that it was a studio amp for years and was sold by him in 2001.
Thanks,
Max

Yes, I do. I don't know you and I don't have any interest in your amp, however, based on what I've read, I don't see anything that was even remotely offensive. If your a stand up guy, you've got nothing to worry about. Perhaps you could have explained your situation a bit more clearly in the original post, but you obviously cleared that up, so lets move on already.
