Ok Guys, I'm just getting ready to wire up my scratchplate and then align it ready for the pickguard pilot holes. This is a Warmoth/Loristra guitars project and I'm putting it all together to my spec.
I can't help but notice, as I begin to align the scratchplate, that the outer pole pieces of the single-coils aren't going to line up with the Strings. That is to say that the E-strings either end are gonna be nowhere near centre over the pole peices. Is this usual?? Pictures below. My Bridge is a traditional vintage. Spacing is 56m measured from the centre of the outer saddles.Absolutely normal with strat pickups, you should be fine...
