It just arrived, which was quite surprising, because when I ordered it about a week ago they said I wouldn't get it until end of May/early June!!! The delivery man turned up whilee I was at the shops so I went and picked it up. (No, I couldn't wait till tomorrow! )

Anyway, it took about 2 minutes to get the docking station hooked up and I was up and running.

So far, I'm impressed and damn it is loud!!! I had the Vol on 1 1/2 - 2 on my PodXT and my partner said she could hear every note loud and clear, and she was 2 floors down from me, hehe! That can't be a bad thing...

I have no idea what about 95% of the models sound like in person, but all of them sound much more useable with this, and that bass port makes the 4x12's models sound huge!!!

I have a feeling I might have a busy day ahead.

Just so you know you don't have to use a modeller. I use 2 Atomics quite a bit with an XT, but I wanted to do some clips using a tube guitar preamp. I just started doing a pile of amp clips for my own reference points at my recording studio. I had an amp party with some buddies and we tracked some 18 clips total. Here's 3 clips so far using a Strat with WCR pups into a modded Kasha Rockmod II c premap into the Atomic 112. The guy playing kept switching through the 5 way switch to get as many tone samples in there as he could. I'll do some humbucker tones this week. This amp sounds great with any sound source. Can't wait for the new 2x12 55w!

These amp clips were recorded with an SM-57 microphone using a Symetrix Mic-pre into ProTools. No compression or EQ was added.

Yeah, the non-modeller idea is a good one, you could hook an entire rack system up to it!, hehe!

The 2x12 should be interesting too...

I'll give a proper reveiw in a few days, once I've got used to it.

As soon as I get the Atomic 212, I'll be doing clips of that too. It might just be dedicated to the Rockmod rack as I'm sure it'll sound awesome.
