OK, I just bought a 59TB for my Strat, so I'm thinking of changing the pots to 500k but which one?
Should I change all 3 pots, just the volume pot, or just the 2 tone pots? Is there any standard value with a H-S-S Strat?
I plan to put a Vintage Rail in the middle and a Cool Rail in the neck position later on.

Title says it all.
A few months back my Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 401 up and croaked. It was an early model (2001). Turns out the rectifier in the early models wasn't correct so the amps ran way hot. I'm pretty sure that's why mine bit it.
Today my (circa 1994) Carvin X-100B (Fozzy Bear Series) sputtered, hissed and puked up a few wallops of 60 cycle type junk and blew out the mains fuse. Another fuse in...power on...BOOM...it blew. Tubes only have 100 or so hours on them. I can't complain too much seeing how much use I got out of it over the years and it's survival of at least 100 gigs.

I'm considering purchasing a Schecter California Custom Classic late ninties axe for 600$. It has Dimarzio pickups and two tone knobs and schaller tuners with a 24 fret neck and carved gold top. What do you think it's worth?
It probably sold for around $1300-$1500, so $600 is a steal!

I need a bridge pup for a Dk2. I want something alil different and alittle bit aggressive.
By different, I mean the C5 is my fav and I have that in a couple of axes.

Screamin Demon - never played one. How does it compare to a C5?

Hi,
I seeking recommendations for a drum machine. I basically need something to jam over and to home record. I have seen that some evolved models like the Boss Dr-880 have bass lines as well and so does the Zoom RT-323.
I was also considering the Yamaha Qy-100 which does other instruments as well (brass, synth, woodwind, etc).

I have a Marshall 4x12 with 2 V30s and 2 Hellatones in an X pattern. The drummer of my band has been away for a while so we havent had practice. The loudest I've had my amp (Marshall 2203) is about 4.5 on the master, but the Hotplate is at about -20db. At that volume am I getting a somewhat accurate feel of the speakers? I was a little worried how the 120 watt cabinet would handle high gain from a 100 watt head. When I have practice I don't use the attenuator, I'm just asking so if I have to change anything in the next 2 weeks, I can. Thanks!

the v30's are 60w speakers, so even if you have the 30w hellatones you should be fine. run that sucker as hot as it takes to get the tone you want.

I bought these pickups this past Winter from Vintage Vibe Guitars. They were hand-wound by Peter Bitloft and ran me a little over $100 for both of them.
I've played a bunch of P-90's over the years and these are by far the nicest ones. Nice and snappy but not too thin or nasal. They're a little hotter than most P-90's, but not so much that they don't retain the vintage sound.
The covers are black and they're a matched set. I had them in a Les Paul Custom. I loved the sound but for the places I'm playing and the music I'm doing I really need humbuckers. I've considered hanging onto them but the last thing I need is more gear in the stockpile.

ok so i got a 1995 fender mexican strat...
got it for a really good price
was wondering why it said squire series but everything else matches the mexican standard line, it has the MN5 serial number, it says made in mexico on the front etc...

Hi guys, I've got a Framus Panthera Studio with a Custom in the Bridge position and I don't actually like it. It's too shrill in the highs and the bass response is bad compared to my Camarillo Custom with the Demon in Bridge.
Now the question is, what shall I put in the Bridge Position?
A Custom 5 or a Demon?
For those who don't know the Framus, it's a Les Paul like guitar, mahogany body, maple top, ovangkol Neck and an ebony fretboard.
Please excuse my english, but I'm from germany...
