Okay, I'm almost ready to order my guitar (A few more weeks), and I'm wondering. Does a Doublecut sound the same as the singlecuts? Here's the double cut I have in mind: from : localhost/does fret access get harder on a normal LP? I tried out my friend's LP (Sitting down) and I didn't notice anything, but I'm wondering if it is because I have been told to carry my guitar stupidly low (Hetfield/Early DeLonge). Any comments/complaints about this are welcome. Comments about posture and positioning shall be...considered (I'm not being sarcastic either).
Well the Gibson LP DCs have 24 frets, thus moving the neck pickup and changing the tone. But I would assume that the DC would be lighter, and thus have some impact on tone.
The DP he#8217;s looking at has 22 frets. The Gibson DC plus has 24 frets, but the faded series still has 22. I can imagine that the 23 and 24 frets are so hard to get to that that are almost not usable. With the 24 fret there would be some difference in tone at the neck pickup. Otherwise, I don#8217;t know that the extra cutaway is going to remove enough material to really make much impact in the tone department (probably no more or no less variation than you get between different blanks of mahogany).

So i was in one of the local guitar shops and i saw a black flying v on the wall. As i am always on the lookout for a cheaper flying v(basically want it as a fun guitar,probablynever use it on stage...but who knows) i picked it up and i noticed that the name on the headstock was Regal.
I thought they just made Dobros?! It said it was new but i havent been able to find anything out about them. Seemed kinda cheap(was marked at 199.99)but had a good neck.
Anyone heard of these?

How does the LP Studio finish stand up to normal playing as opposed to a Standard or Classic's finish?
I had a Studio for years. I've had over 10 LPs, including Standards, Classics, Reissues, Customs and a Studio. I screwed up the finish on a Standard by leaving it in the stand on a cold night near a heater. Other than that I don't think I've had any defects in finish on any of them.

So I saw a video of Justin King playing his song quot;phunkdifiedquot;. And I was pretty damn amazed. I was wondering if anyne could give me any tips for gettign my slapping and tapping ksills up to par to play this song.
I found part of a tab through google. I figure onceI get it down I can probably figure out the rest of the song form there.

i installed the hotrails on the neck of my strat. im thinking of installing the jb jr in the middle and the lil screamin demon on the neck. wat do u think of that combo? if u dont like it, any suggestions? please help im new at this stuff. i play metal music if that helps any.
you mean hot rails in the bridge?
I suppose that setup would be allright. Haven't really tried the JB jr or the lil screamin demon though.

i know you've all been waiting, so here it is. although i do have to say that the quality is terrible, which is equally due to the cheap disposable camera and my crappy scanner. but here they are...
i took some with the pickguard on too, since i was deciding whether i liked it better with it on or off. but coincidentally, none of the ones with the guard on came out....maybe that's supposed to be a sign? but the guitar is sweet!
what color guard was it? im guessing black

anybody wanna throw ideas for any? i have no real need for one, but im shoppin for a friend/bandmate.
If it's for a bandmate, I would suggest getting the same amp you have already.
It will go a long way towards give you a unified sound.
