i'm going to install some new sd's as soon as i get some tips from my previous post..is there a recommended height to adjust p/ups from the strings or is it a case of experimenting ?..playing an explorer pro but the set-up from gibson is poor to say the least.

I've had this guitar for years, and I've modded it a trillion times... it's my baby. Well, I just decided to make it a 3- Humbucker. Bridge - Dimebucker, Mid - JB, Neck - A2Pro. I'm SO psyched, I'll be able to do anything with this guitar now...

I'm thinking about putting one of these im the bridge of my Les Paul, what do you guys think of this pup, anybody have any experience with it? How does it compare tonally to the JB? (the other contender) Thanks in advance fellas

This weekend I played a Larrivee L-03 as well as a D-03. To my surprise I preferred the sound of the L-03 which isn't a dreadnaught. Up to this point I thought that I wanted a dreadnaught, but now I am not sure. Can anyone tell me how they would classify this guitar shape?

Not that I'm going to runout and strip the finish off of my Tele that my wife got for our anniversary last year. But has anyone ever done this to any of the alder bodied MIM's? What was the wood like and what did you use to strip it?

my friends thinking about building a kit clone, but he wants to know what this kindof amp sounds like first, strat (single coil) preferable, but id still like to hear other guitars

Continuing where I left off in my Rammstein Strings post, I just got my strings yesterday. I got a set of GHS GBL and GBTNT, which are 10-46 and 10-52. I put the 10-52 strings on first and I do like them a lot, except I noticed palm mutes don't sound quite as chunky due to the tension of the strings, so maybe they're a bit too tight for that. I'm gonna use these for a while though, and maybe they will get a little better over time. At the end of the month I'm gonna put on the 10-46 strings and I'll let you know what I think of them when I do.

I am not making this into a shoot out... just wondering how people would compare them.

Here's the guitar, 1995 Deluxe Strat Plus, locking tuners, LSR roller nut, Fender Floyd bridge, heavy ash veneered body. Right now it's got an AP2 in the neck and a Dimarzio Virtual Vintage (not the blues or high output) in the bridge. (Middle Lace is not connected)

I saw on musiciansfriend.com that they only sell the Deluxe 50th and American Series 50th in Sunburst. I have a white American Series 50th (it's got the neckplate) with a maple neck. Does my guitar have an ash body like the sunburst version or is it just a regular American Series with a 50th neckplate and an alder body?
