tilted pickups
one aspect of the guitar that still elludes me is tilted pickups such as the bridge p'up on a S/S/S strat. I heard that the tilt does something to the treble tone.
first question: What exactly does this do?

Seagull acoustic decision
Ok, I've been looking into buying a nice acoustic. I've finally settled it to 1 of 2 Seagull guitars. They both are the exact same price, so no problem there. The 2 models btw are an Artist Portrait cutaway model, and and Artist Studio cutaway. Here's the dilema: they both sound great, but to my ears the Studio is just a little bit nicer, and the feel is also a bit better. I tried out every Seagull in the store except one(it was out of my price range so didn't bother), and the Portrait played better and sounded better than all of them except for the studio. So, seems like I'd go for the studio, right? Well, here's the thing, the Studio is just the guitar, and is 100% acoustic, no pickup inside the guitar, and doesn't include a case. The portrait on the other hand includes Godin's pickup system, and includes a case. Now, since they're the same price, the portrait is obviously the better deal, but the studio just has that little extra something in tone and feel. I'm probably going to spend a good few hours in the store the day I decide, and just go back and forth between the 2 of them until I make up my mind, but just wanted a little idea about what others would do.

SP/DT question
Sorry if it's already been covered in another thread, but I was wondering if I could use 1 SP/DT switch to split both a bridge and a neck humbucker at the same time? Can they share the same lug, or does each pup need it's own lug (and hence require a DP/DT?)

battleneck!! jb jr vs. '59 jr
main difference of these two pu in neck position! in combination with Hot Rails (bridge) and hot stack (middle)

to compliment jb-single coil match
I just had a jb full size hum put in my washburn x10 and am considering replacing the 2 single coil. I like the sound of the neck mid combined clean and want a good clear tone out of the neck alone. I want the pups to have close output vol but not to be louder than the installed jb-bridge. hum canceling is not a significant concern-cost effectiveness ia a concern?? thanks

Starting to rethink my Number One Strat pickups
My Number One Strat changes with my tastes, and I'm starting to think it will be time for a pickup change soon. Right now it has the following:

WTB single coil for mid Ibanez RG 550 guitar..
Hi guys.. I'm going to stick a Dimarzio Tone Zone in the bridge position of my RG 550.. That said, I need a good single coil.. Anyone have anything that want to sell ? I'm in Indiana, so the closer you are the better, but anywhere in the US is great.. I'd pay by USPS money order, but I won't be in town again after tonight until either Tuesday or Wed..
I'd like something that will split well to give me that SRV tone on songs like quot;Lennyquot;, etc.. or Hey Joe, etc..
