Right now on the Charvel model 1a I get buzz pretty much everywhere on the fretboard. The relief appears to be quite small (there definitely is MUCH less than a business card's thickness) and the action is relatively high (right 2.5mm on the 12th fret, low E). I was thinking of adding a little relief and lower the string height at the bridge a little and see what it gives. The other solution would be to shim the nut and lower the action as the bridge too but it's much easier to add a little relief I guess. What do you guys say? The neck is even (from treble to bass side it's flat) and there is very little wear on the frets, which also seem to be level (the guitar tech checked on them).

Clear Combo
All,
Ok, here we go again, this time I think I have it. How about a Jazz neck with a Custom 5 bridge? Both claim to be quot;clearquot; sounding, which should do well for my intents and purposes (clear chorusy sounds on a ESP LTD dual humbucker with maple top, agathis body, rosewood fingerboard). Anyone tried this combination? Thoughts? Comments?

Replacement for Roland SDE1000 delay ?
Doh, it looks like my Roland SDE1000 delay is finally giving up the ghost, making some unpleasant squealing/popping noises.

New Peavey all tube modeling amp?
Peavey has a new amp coming out that has some sort of way to change amp model sounds out of an all tube head...... anyone seen or played one of these amps yet? There is a small write up on it in the new Guitar World mag

Active pickups... why?
I have never owned a guitar with Active Pickups. I do understand the theory... very low noise to allow for very high gain. An oversimplification, I know. I own a bass with 18v active electronics and really enjoy playing it.
