I just picked up a beat Fender 1981 Bullet. The pickups were replaced with old Dano lipstick tube pickups. Anybody have a guestimate of the going market rate for them? I'm planning on keeping them, I'm just wondering.

1988 USA Peavey Sonic body and Kahler bridge
the Body is white with a single angled humbucker. there is some dents on it, and a very small crack in one of the bridge screw holes, that has been repaired. the Khaller is black. missing the trem arm (didn't have it when I got it) and one of the bridge screws is very slightly bent, but still works just fine. pics upon request. $125 for everything

looking for a specific bridge pup
ok, so a while ago i found this great example of my playing style online. (so i didn't have to record myself and post it) i'm lookin for a bridge pup (brand or magnet type dont matter) that will pull off that high end clearity as heard in the sound clip with my current rig (see below). but i also need the pup to be able to chug well on the bottom strings. there's got to be a pup that can pull this off. otherwise i might have to try making a hybrid out of a JB and an Ibanez AH2. here's the clip from the digitech website: clip (click play on the quot;modern britishquot; clip) for another example, listen to Joe Satriani - The Extremist especially the first 30 seconds or so.

I think my perfect humbucker would be a...
cross between a '59 and a Seth. Any ideas on how I might get there?

Fender Twin Vs Hot Rod Deville
Ok I know this might be a no brainer type of question but I want to read the why for it.....
I’ve owned a couple of Devilles , I recently acquired a 2x12 for a good priced…My thought about these amps has always been that they have a pretty good clean sound, with good amount of headroom, inexpensive…..The bad thing about them is that the OD channel is pretty bad…but nothing a pedal can fix using the clean channel…..I’ve read threads about it and about the Twin reverb….The twin reverb seems to be a better amp although I’ve read post of user complaining about how it does not like pedals (some pedals), other users say that’s impossible…..Now that I have the Deville I am thinking about moving the Deville and get a Twin reverb (at least a silverface one)…..But I don’t want to pass on the Deville just because of a couple of threads.. I want to read about specific comparisons between the two and why one is better than the other…..

My brother takes up the guitar!
I was quite happy when he told me about that earlier on the phone. Maybe someday we'll jam together.

HELP Little 59er Tele Noise/Phase Issues
i installed a little 59er in my tele bridge spot fairly recently...black to the selector switch (same spot as previous pickup) white and red togehter, silver and green together and grounded. I get this terrible you-didnt-ground-this-right noise (that diminishes whne i touch something grounded...) as well as when both the little 59er and the stock neck pickup are selected together (middle position) this nasally, out of phase sound. what did i do wrong/how can i fix this! this is sort of urgent, so hopefully i'll hear back soon! thanks in advance!
