i've recently bought a 35 year old Pearl tele kopie with alnoco pups. the neck pup is great, but the bridge one makes this loud syrenlike sound when on distorted channel, which makes it impossible to play. anyone familiar with something like this ? i'll just add that the guitar hase some small cracks in the body near the place where the body is bolted to the freet (maybe this is the reason?) due to string tension. i was said that this is normal to old teles, but i've noticed already that it had to fall down somewhere.

Can anyone suggest a good speaker replacement option to improve the sound of a Line 6 Flextone II combo? I would think that a standard guitar speaker like a G12H30 would color the sound too much in one directon. Anyone got any suggestions? This is a 12quot; speaker.

I got a Wolfgang Special off of Ebay and I love the playability and the tone when we do the more distorted stuff.

Do any of you know of a passive humbucker that has this sound? Aggressive high end but not harsh. Tight punchy low end. Like an Sh-6. OK here is the unique part. A balance between upper midrange detail and lower midrange quot;growlquot;. Equal in both midrange bands. So you truly get the best of both worlds out of the pick-up. Great for when your onstage and don't have the time to switch to the neck pick up like you like to do when you solo on a recording becuse you have to do so much foot- switching. this to me would be an ideal sound. Not only would it be versitle but would make for a mega-big distorted sound. Any ideas, fellow players not really concerned about who manufactures it just wonder does it exist? GOD BLESS!!!!!

I have a 1x12 tube combo and i'd like to close its back to get a beefier sound. Would this cause the power tubes to overheat (altough I have a fan inside)?
Also, what is the best material to cover the back? I know most companies use plywood to build their cabs, but i've also seen some poplar ones as well. My dad is building proffesional home speakers cabs and he builds them with MDF, is that any good for guitar cabs?

Hi guys, im curious how big of an effect does reverb have on your tone? Would it vastly imrpove my tone (a strat with a ds-1 going straight into a marshall practice amp, will eventually buy a fender blues junior or equivalent soon enough but not yet) if i got me a RV-5 Digital Reverb? Ive heard good things about them, and seeing as im on a pedal freak obsession anythought or recomendations? How is the reverb on the fnder blues junior or other amps?
