Tone Wizard: what is fusion?
All,
I have a question about the Tone Wizard. Can someone tell me what style of music quot;Fusionquot; is, and what artists fit into this category? Google isn't being much help...

Bill Lawrence single coils
Has anyone played using bills single coils? In particular the L-280's and L-290's. Ive heard that the 290's are more modern sounding compared to the 280's with less highs and more mids but i would like to hear more in depth talk bout how they sound clean and when overdriven. Im planning on putting of these 2 in the neck position of my strat. Thanks in advance.

Is there going to be another EVH signature amp?
Ive only heard a rumor or two since he left Peavey. Is there any news on whether or not Eddie has something in development?

I Think I Need To Get Larger Gauge Strings!
this week i broke 4 different strings! 4! who does that, i wasnt playing a gig or anything just in my room. now I play rock and funk and when I play funk I almost plan on the .009 string breaking on me because i really play agressive. also when i play rock other strings break. now these 4 strings were 4 seperate strings they wernt the same one over and over. now is this normal? ive been having this problem for a while and held off on using bigger strings because i like the ease of the smaller strings. i think this is because i learned how to play almost every hendrix song on a acoustic b4 i got an electric and ive had an electric for 2 years. also i havent changed these strongs for a long time a couple months maybe 4, is that why or is it time for bigger strings? any help please

Help with a Poor Man's Rehearsal Space
My band rehearses in our bassist's basement, which is approximately the size of a shoebox. There are four of us and we all have microphones, but the feedback is so uncontrollable that we can't have all four on at once. EQing doesn't help the situation and we can't get the volume out of the PA speakers high enough to hear the vocals over the instruments (drums included). It's just a nightmare.
One problem that comes to mind is that the room is not acoustically dead. I believe a rehearsal space should be as acoustically dead as possible, right? We don't have any carpeting on the floors, the walls are bare and there's no batting or anything on the ceiling to absorb the sound, so we've got one badass echo chamber. One solution would be to lay some material that will absorb the sound, but I don't know what's out there that's safe (i.e, fire-resistant), effective and inexpensive.
