Ive only heard a rumor or two since he left Peavey. Is there any news on whether or not Eddie has something in development?
There was first rumour about him being with Crate; then one about Marshall. Who know's what the **** that guy is thinking now, anyways?
who cares. lol! I don't!
EVH???? I could care less!
Every year his hearing gets worse, so why don't they just release a solid state Crate with a built in treble booster (because we all know how much he LOVES treble nowadays ).
I'm happy as hell with my 5150 stack that i got for $700 used.... Whatever else he may develop with another company will more then likely be way too expensive for a guy like me.... All my gear has been real bargains or fixer uppers..... Saddly i've not been in a band in the last few years and really do not have the need to get a new stack anytime soon... But at the same time i'm sure whatever he designs with another company i will want baddly.... I want one of those Charvel EVH Strats but they are just way out of my range... I go broke every month just living....

Who let the dead horse into the room?
haha .. gotta admit EVH endorses like changing his clothes. I heard nothing so far although knowing that he is in Charvel for sometime.
The Peavey 5150 rocks to the max anyway
So it's the 6505 because EVH left? Same amp as the 5150 II? What about his sig. guitars? No more Wolfgang or whatever the Peavy was called?
The Wolfgang has been slightly modified and renamed the HP (after Hartley Peavey). I believe that the neck, pickups, and body construction are the same. The only thing that has changed are the electronics layout and some slight contour mods.
As far as amps, I don't think anything has been confirmed.

actually PFD, the 6505 is the same as the first 5150, not the 2
Now these were the days...

He's had more deals than most artists. He had Ernie Ball, Peavey Amps, Peavey Guitars, Charvel, MXR (Phase 90).. And that's all I can list off the top of my head. He's one of the bigger quot;gearwhoresquot; in shred guitar.

I'd be curious to see if it really sounds like the old block lettered editions. Recreating something great doesn't usually end up in something great.
who cares anyway ...

The 6505 is exactly the same amp as the 5150 (all of them, head, cab and combo.) No electronics were changed, it was strictly cosmetic. The 6505 is the same as the 5150 II. Same deal.
The prices came down too, because they don't have to send any to Ed.
The Wolfgang became the HP Special. the body shape changed a bit, the neck contour is the same, the pickups are a bit hotter and the trem floats, and does not have the D-Tuna. It's still maple on Basswood and a maple neck. Same deal with the price...
I used to work for a Peavey dealer, so I got to read the Dealer info release...
I played the Guitar at Winter NAMM and it's great.
Hmmmm...let's see, one of the most influential guitarists of the last three decades has a few different guitar and amp deals over the years and he's a gearwhore? Hardly. Ed's got plenty of problems for sure, but throwing his name on any company's product that will pay him isn't one of them. How many hundreds for endorsement deals do you think he has turned down.
Why am I defending Ed?....well, maybe cuz I was actually alive when he rewrote the book.
umm.. you actually saw the pic of his garage/guitar space thingy?
if Ed's not a gear whore, noone is

By calling him a 'gearwhore,' I am not doubting his major influence on modern day music. I hold Eddie in the highest regard. As I said, he happened to have a few endorsement deals. There isn't anyone on this board that wouldn't want the most equipment possible. The more the merrier. With that said, 'gearwhore' hasn't an ounce of bad connotation, so please leave your 'arrogant youth' remarks at home.
Put my name on the 'I don't give a ****' list as well.
