Can you use linear pots for volume and tone controls and whats the sonic difference if any?

I've heard they will be out very soon. When we they be posted on the site. Also, how many versions will there be?

Metallic red Super Strat Shred guitar from early 90's. Like an Ibanez RG-550 only H-S-S configuration. 24 fret Maple neck and Rosewood fretboard, Floyd Rose trem, Black Hardware, Excellent condition $250.

Can anyone compare the two? I can get the soldano for about 600 or the Budda for about 900. If the Soldano can nail lynch, evh, and high gain shred tones I'm sold. I need quick answers please.

A converted Superdistortion, A5 magnet(from an old JB) and one coil is with slugs instead of allenscrews, plus it is an Air-tortion now
