I was wondering if any of you guys could give me any ideas as to how to use its controls to give me a more Pantera like sound from CFH era, in conjunction with the amp's EQ... The pedal's 6 frequencies are: 100Hz, 200Hz, 400Hz, 800Hz, 1.6KHz, 3.2KHz

i found a site (that i forgot to bookmark) that offered a dual 500k blend balance pot,and a stacked concentric500k/250k pot.i'm basicaly a beginer in the guitar electronics dept.could somebody let me know what the uses of these differant pots is.also i read that a 300k pot is good for a humbucker,is that right.what are the 1g for?maybe i'm asking to many questions at once?

Hey everone, I just joined the forum (Let the hazing begin!). I'm looking for some advice on a new bridge humbucker for my guitar. It's a Jackson KE3 Kelly with an alder body, maple neck, and floyd rose. I have an EMG 81 in the bridge right now. I also recently just bought a Peavey Triple X half stack and the guitar is now sounding extremely thin. It had more balls so to speak with my PODXT. I'm also pretty sure that any pickup will sound close to the same with the POD anyway. So i'm looking to replace it. I was thinking of going back to passive pickups and trying the Invader because of its larger bass output to counter the bright nature of my guitar. But I also have heard great things about the EMG 85 in the bridge having more warmth a fuller sound than the 81. Plus since one of my favorite bands (In Flames) uses the 85 i was curious about it. But then again Nile uses the Invader and their tone is massive. So has anybody had any experience with these two pickups in a guitar with similar specs to mine (alder, floyd rose)?

150watts of stereo transistor-y goodness! I bought this amp 2 weeks ago, having to sell it due to money issues. I still have the original packaging for the footswitch that comes with it, and the amp is in absolute mint condition. Its never been gigged, barely used at all. I bought it for ?300, selling it for ?280 as it is practically brand new.

so i went out amp-testing today to see what i could set up as my new goal to save for. Coming to the store where i had allready bought my Vetta II i instantly and seriously fell in love with an Engl Powerball fullstack with Engl Vintage(vintage 30s inside) cabs.
The sound was godly and it just blew away any other amp i played today(several,marshalls,mesas, some peavys and so on). Just the fitting tone for everything i wanna play.

Hendrix is known for his right hd strat adapted for left hd, Brian May built his own. What would they be playing if they started out today? There are more guitars available than ever, and so much choice for any aspiring musician to acheive their sound. I once saw a mock up of Hendrix if he had lived, and they had him playing a Parker Fly!!!
Any guitarist any era, what would they be playing today?

Anyone else notice this is possibly one of the best models that Gibson ever made, and was discontinued 7-8 years ago?

Ok, i have a nice set of duncan bridge pickups: JB, JB and DEMON

My main guitar for the past 4 years started life as a Fender Standard (Mexi) Tele, I've put a JB/59 set of SD humbuckers on it and have changed the neck to a nice solid maple copy. I want a lower tone out of the bridge p/u, would the CC be my best bet and keep the same output? I've been happy with the JB for years( it used to reside in a Yamaha SBG2000 for a long time) but after being on this forum for awhile I want a slightly darker tone. Is the CC my choice?

Are they worth the hundred bucks and the risk of giving a a credit card online?
