I have the following data in a worksheet
A B C
MT00926O.HEAD MATHS DISCOVERIES SET 2154
MT01381GRAPHING MAT amp; BOOK SET 42
MT01381GRAPHING MAT amp; BOOK SET 42
MT01113LDA NUMERACY KIT YEARS 3 amp; 425
MT00925O.HEAD MATHS DISCOVERIES SET 155
I need to sum the values in column C where the data in Column A is
identical.
I'm sure there is an easy way to do this but I cannot find it.
Anyone able to help?
Thanks

An alternative is to copy column A (with a heading) to a new sheet,
then apply Data Filter Advanced Filter to this column, choosing
Unique Records Only and Copy to another location (eg C1). Click OK,
then delete columns A and B.
Then enter this formula in B2:
=SUMIF(Sheet1!A2:A1000,A2,Sheet1!C2:C1000)
Adjust the ranges to suit, and copy the formula down.
Hope this helps.
Pete
