If you just want to change the appearance of the cell: Formatgt;Cellsgt;Number
tab, Custom, in the Type box, enter: yyyymmdd
If you really want the string 20051223: =TEXT(A1,quot;yyyymmddquot;)
And if you want the number 20051223: =VALUE(TEXT(A1,quot;yyyymmddquot;))

Kind regards,

lt;Formatgt;lt;Cellsgt;
Click over to the quot;Numberquot; tab
Click on quot;Customquot;
Enter quot;yyyymmddquot; (without the quotes)
