Every time I try to use any HELP tab, system opens a new window called
quot;Microsoft Internet Explorer,quot; with two panes. The left side is the familar
window with the Contents/Index/Search tabs and the right side showing the
window you see when surfing the internet and a site is not there, quot;action
canceled, internet explorer was unable to link to the web page you
requested....quot;
How do I swith back to using the help files already stored on my
computer?? Thank you in advance, John.

Maybe...

Unfortunately I found out that I have Office XP Pro 2002. On my version, I
do not have the quot;Service Optionsquot; button. Mine says Browser Options, and it
does not bring up anything like what the 2003 version does. I did try what
you suggested on the system at work, and yes if I had the 2003, this would
have worked. Once again, Thank you, John. Do you know of anything else I
could try?

In xl2003, you can also get to that same setting via:

Help|customer feedback options|online content category

I don't recall if it's the same in xl2002.
