On some documents that we have the Auto Calculation command will
not work, but if we create a brand new document it will work fine.
Initially, I would say that the file had become corrupt in some way
because the documents that have this issue were stemmed from two
documents that were known to have this issue as well and seem to pass
it on. I was just curious as to whether anyone else has seen this
issue and whether it is just a corrupt document or if there is a fix
for this. We are using Excel 2003. Thank you for your help.
VinHi Vin
Check Toolsgt;Optionsgt;Calculation and make sure it is set to Automatic.
The mode is set by the first file you open in an Excel session, so if
theses two files were set to manual, and were opened first, then you
would be set to manual.
Change them to Automatic, save them, and your problem will hopefully
disappear.
