For reasons not entirely obvious, Office will not allow the use of an
ampersand (amp;) in an Excel custom header in XP.
Why not?
Even with a preceding apostrophe, it disappears without a trace on the
finished product and the print preview with even the empty space black holed
as well.

gt; tinyurl.com/l3w5tHi Jack,
I believe you have to put an ampersand on each side of the one you
want.
IE:
Hi amp;amp;amp; Hi Again
Result will be --gt; Hi amp; Hi Again--

The amp; is used in a few variables amp;Page, amp;pages, ... and needs to be doubled up
if you want to see just one.
