I have a series of thin columns where the only thing put in the cells is
an X or an O...the text in the header row for those columns has to be
put in at 90 degrees so the columns stay thin. Is there any way to put
the text in vertically like this so its easier to read:
c
u
t
or
b
u
n
d
l

In Excel 2003 I go to quot;Formatquot;, Cells, Alignment, and under the
Orientation section you can select your text to appear at a 90 degree
angle.
Hopefully this will work for you!
KarenForgot to add that if you wish your text to appear upright and still
vertical, you can type each letter and quot;Altquot; quot;Enterquot; after each letter.
That will keep your letters in the same cell, but allow them to show
underneath one another.
K
worked like a charm...I didn't know that option was in there...thanx--
