I have 22 cells each containing different sums of money, Ranging from
?1.00 to ?253.00.
The values are in a random order and are hidden from me. I only have
the cell references i.e. 1-22. I have to select one cell, so I select
say number 8. That leaves 21 cells.
The odds on me selecting the one with the highest or lowest figure
would I assume be 22/1.
Now if I do not know what the value in my cell is, and in order to find
out, I start revealing the remaining cell values one by one.
After revealing 5 cells i.e. 17 left including my own, based on the
figures revealed what are the odds on my cell having the highest sum.
Subsequently if I reveal another 3 cells at a time until there are only
2 cells left i.e. my cell and one other?

How can I work out the odds after revealing 5 cells, then 3 more, etc?

5 removed 16 left plus my cell - odds?
3 removed 13 left plus my cell - odds?
3 removed 10 left plus my cell - odds?
3 removed 7 left plus my cell - odds?
3 removed 4 left plus my cell - odds?
3 removed 1 left plus my cell - evens
