Hey, on the Artist models, the necks of the ones made these days are supposed to be bigger than those of the past.
But, I can't find one to play locally, of course. So, would you say they are more like a 50's Les Paul, 60's Les Paul, skinnier or somewhere in the middle between 50's and 60's?
Thanks.

The one I played seemed pleasantly in-between, it felt very round.
I agree it's somewhere in between. Not as rounded as an R7.
Hamer changed profiles some time in the mid 90's. There should be more info on the Hamer Fan Club site. I prefer the newer profiles.
There are two different neck profiles, the modern and the vintage. I have the vintage carve on my Artist which is supposed to be similar to a 50's Les Paul. It is quite beefy, I love it. The modern carve is a bit slimmer, but not nearly as thin as the early 90's thin necked Hamers. I would say it's somewhere close to a Jackson neck, less like an Ibanez Wizard.
