my new 1984 Hamer vector kk will be here next week !!!!!!!!! i can't wait. it is a kick ass black cherry burst over flame maple top on mahogany. it is coming with an invader but i am going to get something in a red and black zebra to replace it . here are some shots

im not a huge kahler fan but they are ok and in this case i'd let it slide since it has 1 hum and 1 knob, i'm in love!! very cool guitar!!

i had one before and it was awesome it was not the one with a flame top it was just all mahogany. i had an old JB in reverse zebra in it and it rocked big fat singing tone , i wish it had a fixed bridge or a floyd rose , since i am not a big fan of kahler trems but i am not going to use the trem so it should be cool. i can't wait to get this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very, very cool. That's an awesome guitar you've got there. As far as wanting a fixed bridge with it, what about swapping the Kahler out for the fixed model? You know, the one that Dave Mustaine had on his King V. I don't know for sure which model Kahler you have, but I think that the fixed version is a direct relpacement for the flatmount trem.

I happen to like Kahlers...but only for one reason...they quot;feelquot; better as a bridge to me than a Floyd..more comfy. With that bridge you may want something more beefy for a pup than a JB? Custom? CC to replace some mids?

Now that is a nice lookin' V. Definitely one I would consider adding to the collection. Nice score.

the case is cool alot smaller than most V cases

i have a CC to try in it and i'm thinking of getting a custom shop JB prototype with an A2 magnet in red black zebra (i think george lynch calls it the super V)

CC to replace some mids?yeah, i like kahlers a lot more than floyds too. just seems a lot more substantial especially for palm-muting than a floyd. plus it wont go out of tune if you rest your hand on it too hard. and also the trem motion is a hell of a lot smoother

tone update so i plug this thing into my ROCCAFORTE and BAM!!!!! what a monster my hamer standard went running for it's case screaming (it's now for sale) this thing is a beast ! i am no invader fan but it is cool so far the pickup is way far from the strings but it has mad crunch and unplugged it has a nice ring to it . must have got a good one

awesome. i gotta admit, when i first saw the thread name, i thought you got one of those mini V's they made in the late 80s
