I love the tone of my Peavey Tracer, but the stock single-coils sound a bit thin for my tastes. I want something with the sweet glassy sound of Alnico 2 magnets with a lot of warmth. I basically want a fat single-coil sound with all the clarity, definition, and character of a traditional single-coil. Nothing extreme though, I only really like vintage-voiced pickups.
As for the bridge (full-sized humbucker), I need something that sounds fantabulous when split and very articulate when in full humbucking mode. I'm not too big on modern sounding bridge pups, so let's try to keep it medium to low output with 100% vintage voicing. Possibly something with an Alnico 2 magnet.
I think most of you know my style by now. I'm big on exploiting vintage tones in shred situations I also take great joy in playing blues and classic rock.
