1) You need specific web hosting, where photos can be stored at an actual internet address. You cannot host a picture from your hard drive (for example C:/My Documents/Guitar Photos) as the paths are only relative to your own computer. Most people use photobucket which offers a lot of space and ability to sort photos into different folders. You have to sign up to use this service

2) Upload your files onto your photobucket account. Underneath each photo should be a white form space with text inside. URL specifies the actual internet address where the photo is hosted. Img is the URL inside [IMG] hello [/IMG] brackets.

3) To post a picture on a messageboard, you have to insert the URL in the middle of these two brackets: [IMG] photo goes here [/IMG] (without the space after the first IMG bracket and the space before the second /IMG bracket)
Because that may be a bit troublesome, photobucket have done it for you! In the quot;Imgquot; form, just left click and it will highlight the code needed to post an image in this messageboard. Ctrl C to copy the code then paste it into the message. The image will not appear straight away, but after you submit your post.
