Hey all, I've got a quick question for all any of you.
I have an Epi Flying V (the '58 Korina copy) with an Invader, and it's much too dark for my style. I mostly play Killswitch Engage-ish stuff (hard, driving main riffs with melodic riffs thrown in), and I need some brighter quality to my sound.
I run through the amp and pedal listed in my sig, and I play mostly in a large, generally spacious room (think 30x25 foot perimeter, 10-11 foot between floor and ceiling). I have the treble cranked and the bass backed off, and I really don't feel like changing pups, so what's something that would take the bassiness and the darkness out of my sound and brighten it up a little bit?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Try using more mids.

If anybody wants to suggest saddles, nut, tuners, hell even strings, go right ahead
There is an Invader mod thats really simple that brightens it up a bit i think, search for a recent thread on invaders by KAC.
Invader ~ Kac... time for me to chime in.
Use the cap mod. It will make the Invader brighter and more badass!
Highly Reccomended, PM me if you need more details.
