After wiring up everything, ive found 1 problem
the wire from my volume pot to output jack is kinda screwed up. I have to move the wire around into a certain position to get it to output a sound, any other position won't output a sound. and when i touch or go near the wire, it buzzes. i've resoldered the wire a few times trying to get it work but no good.
what could be the problem?
do i need some sort of shielded wire for that?
It sounds to me like you may have broken the mechanical connection between the pots solder lug and the phenolic board that holds the carbon trace. Gently try to wiggle the solder lug back and forth, and see if the sound cuts in and out as you do that.
If thats the case . . . its new pot time.
