I tryed it in my strat with a 250K Pot....It took some of the toppy crap away,gave the pickup more mids,less lows,and a slightly softer feel to the notes....After awhile I began thinking it was better with the A5 magnet and switched it back...I replaced all of the hex screws with standard nickel screws on both bobbins and it was quot;the perfect fixquot; on mine....I hate this pickup in a strat with anything other than a 250k pot though...

I've not tryed this pickup in my SG or my LP axes...

This sounds great in the neck position which many people overlook. Bright enough to balance out a dark Les Paul neck position.

I actually have it with the double rows of screw pole pieces that seemed to be a popular mod lately in a Peavey T-60 neck slot. Works well with the Parallel Axis Distortion in the bridge. I never bothered to check the pot values, but it sounds good with whatever is already installed.

The SD is alot like the Fred pickup and people say the Fred works great in the neck spot? I have a brand new Fred I've not used and I've not tryed it in the neck spot....This one is F spaced though also.
