Hey Guys,
Does anyone out there know of a brand (thats good) that produces a single humbucker guitar? I figured why not since I only use the bridge anyway. Now Im going to be picky....it has to have a set-neck and through-body strings ( I would settle for tune-o-matic too) The only model I know of is that Epiphone Les Paul Junior or something? If you find one please post the website and/or a picture. !BUT IT NEEDS TO HAVE A SET-NECK!!!
Thank you again!!!
gibson? melody maker amp; tom delonge sig
They have bridge humbuckers and not P-90's right? Which one would you recomend and do you know the pricing?
What about other brands?
I would also settle for a bridge humbucker with a single coil in the neck. that seems to be cool.
the tom delonge has dirty-fingers humbuckers. they're high output humbuckers.in europe they're about 2500 euros. way too expensive in my opinion.
melody makers are the simplest form of gibsons on the market. not sure if you would like the simplicity. they come with P90's.
IIRC,fender used to produce a single humbucker guitar for tom delonge before he switched camp to gibson. you might still get some of his sigs on the market. they should cost less than the gibsons.
Hmmm... seems like the majority of single-bucker fans also dig floyds amp; bolt on necks. Good luck
If you're tastes change, and you are open to more options, the Charvel Journeyman is a sweet guitar for a killer price.

If I had money I'd get one.
Has anyone played a fat-strat? I have and I really dont like the humbucker sound...anything like that would do s/s/humbucker just with a set neck....dont care about the bridge.
Go on ebay and look for quot;Fender Scorpionquot; or quot;Fender Celticquot;.
The Scorpion Tele version is a Mahogany Set Neck with 1 Humbucker.
Both the Celtic Strat and Tele have 1 Humbucker, they are both identical except the strat version is basswood.
I personally think the Celtics with a chrome cover pickup would look so pimp.
I have the Scorpion Strat which had 2 humbuckers and Basswood. The scorpions were only made in 2003 and I think the Celtics were 2004.
Why a set neck?

When Musician's Friend was cleaning out the closet last summer they had Celtics for $300. Pretty great deal for a really sweet looking guitar if you ask me.

Yer these were pretty nice guitars for the money, but as they don't make um anymore they are a little harder to find, and not set neck. Also i dont know if they are still available but the Fender Esquier GT is a single hum with string through, and comes with a seymour duncan invader as stock. IIRC.
The ESP Alexi laiho Signature is a single bucker neck through but it has a floyd and costs a fortune

they are not available new anymore but i just won that same guitar in the same color on ebay in mint condition for next to nothing...so look for one of those esquire GTs or the Celtic version of it. they are actually real nice guitars and if you shop around they can be had fairly cheap also.

Word, these are the best guitars in the world IMO. I tried one out the other day, they have just started being imported over here, and im saving for one as we speak. Dead cheap too, best value guitars money can buy.
