I have a BTB1005 prestige bass with mahogany/maple body into which I want to put MM style pickup at bridge and perhaps jazz or whatever at neck.

I have been spurred on to changing the Bartlonini pickups out because I have an Ibanez ATK with triple humbucker pickups and it has an amazing punchy clear tone and in my mind, warmer sounding than the Stingray.

I’d like to achieve the same or close to it with the basslines MM pickups into the BTB1005 if that is possible ( I'll have to do some routing )

So which would be the best MM Stingray Humbucker type pickup that suits a five string with 19mm string spacing - does anyonw have suggestions?

Does SD have a triple humbucker like the ATK ?

Next question is what EQ/pre-amp should I go with – I’ve not been so impressed with the bartolini one as it has had to be replaced already

Which leads to the next question, should I use another of the SD pickups at the neck to match up with the MM Humbucker? If I do, would you suggest jazz or soapbar? I like the jazz pickup sound for the neck, but the routing is already for soapbar style.

I am open to suggestions from you so I can narrow down my choice.
